Meet The Team

Chief Executive Officer

Sig Behrens 

Sig, with 25 years in the Public Sector market, is the CEO of Permuta. He has held pivotal roles at several companies including co-founding Kenner Technologies and undertaking leadership roles at Stratasys, Blackboard, and Microsoft. At Microsoft, he ascended to General Manager of its largest vertical, securing a historic agreement with the US Air Force and Defense Agencies in 2004 and significantly expanding Microsoft’s Business Applications business.

In his role leading Microsoft's US Education business, Sig developed groundbreaking public-private partnerships, initiated Microsoft Xbox and Kinect into classrooms, and represented Microsoft at prestigious educational forums. He holds a bachelor's degree in international politics from Pennsylvania State University and resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife and three children.

Vice President of Federal Sales

Hank Prokop

Hank Prokop is the Vice President of Federal Sales at Permuta, bringing 15 years of experience in bridging the gap between the private sector and federal agencies. Starting his journey at Dell, he led successful contracts and the first US Air Force hybrid deployment team in Dell's history. At Redgate, Hank spearheaded a significant partnership with the Department of Defense and elevated the federal sales division by introducing tailored, cyber-secure, and cost-effective solutions for the government.

Hank, who holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from The University of Texas, actively contributes to federal advisory boards and is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of federal liaisons. He resides in Austin, Texas with his family.

Head of Product

Jill R. Spohn

Retired Human Resources Army Warrant Officer Jill is passionate about serving the Federal and DOD communities with innovative software solutions to improve organizational efficiencies. Passion drives Jill's role at Permuta Technologies, where she leads System Engineers and shapes the strategic direction of the product portfolio. Jill has significantly reduced product implementation times and transitioned the legacy DefenseReady platform to a cloud-ready solution, enhancing user experience and scalability.

Before this, Jill was a DefenseReady SME, Trainer, and program manager for U.S. Special Operations Command, aiding in platform management to support SOCOM initiatives. She holds degrees in Human Resource Development from Villanova University and International Business from Liberty University.

Director of Finance & Operations

Katie Patterson

Katie Patterson, is Permuta Technologies Director of Finance & Operations. As a member of the leadership team, Ms. Patterson has multiple roles from Finance to Human Resources. She has over 10 years’ experience within the government/contractor space. Prior to joining Permuta in 2017 she worked on-site at a customer’s location working day in and day out with DefenseReady. Ms. Patterson graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

PERMUTA IS FOUNDED

Permuta was founded with a strong emphasis on developing software capabilities tailored specifically for defense and federal agencies.

2008

ISV'S MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENT

We successfully migrated a collection of purpose-built military applications to Microsoft Dynamics, solidifying our position as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV).
